Apostle Charles Okho-Atta

Charles Okho-Atta

Apostle Charles Okho-Atta  is a devoted servant of God, visionary leader, and founder of Destiny Embassy and Okho-Atta Ministries , committed to raising and equipping believers for the work of the Kingdom.

He was born to Vida Efua, a native of Aboadze in the Western Region of Ghana, and Daniel Offie, from Hiewu Besease in the Ashanti Region. From a young age, his life was deeply shaped by the spiritual influence of Prophetess Miraba Theresa Coffie , a woman mightily used by God in the early 1970s to 1997 . Though he grew up calling her his mother, he later discovered after her passing in 1997 that she was his grandaunt. She lived a life of purity and power, never marrying nor bearing children, but wholly devoted to the service of God. Before her passing, she left him with a Bible and a simple yet profound instruction to read it and pray every day , laying a strong spiritual foundation for his life.

At the age of 17, Apostle Charles had a life-transforming vision. He saw the heavens opened, and a thick white cloth, radiant as snow, descended upon him, covering and wrapping him like a mantle. In this supernatural encounter, he was lifted and taken across the nations of the earth within moments. He witnessed multitudes of people from different races praising God and declaring that God had called him. He also heard a loud voice proclaiming that salvation and joy had come upon the earth. This vision marked the beginning of his divine calling.

Following this encounter, he began to experience the audible voice of God, often being led into secluded places for prayer. Over time, the Lord assured him of His presence and purpose, declaring that He would make him great and confirm His word in his life with signs and wonders.

Apostle Charles also had several supernatural encounters, including visitations from angels within a period of 40 days, during which he was taught the ministry of the Holy Spirit , New Creation Realities and the workings of angels. These encounters revealed deep spiritual mysteries and propelled him into a life of intense consecration, including a fasted life for three and a half years as he sought greater grace and wisdom from God.

On September 23, 2003, he had a divine encounter with Jesus Christ, who instructed him to gather students on campus, preach the Gospel, and minister prophecy and healing. In obedience, he began a powerful revival at Odorgonno Secondary School, where many students gave their lives to Christ, received the Holy Spirit, and experienced transformation. Many of these individuals have gone on to become ministers, professionals, and leaders in various fields.

On November 11, 2003, he officially began a campus fellowship known as Faith Outreach Ministry, starting with just one member. Through dedication and the power of God, the fellowship grew into a vibrant community of hundreds of young people. The ministry also organized outreach crusades, notably in Suhum Adarkwa, where thousands gathered, and many experienced healing and deliverance.

In November 2008, he heard the audible voice of God again, declaring blessings over his life and affirming that anyone associated with him would also be blessed.

Apostle Charles was ordained as a Reverend Minister on April 25, 2009, by Rev. Felix Hini at Awoshie. He established Healing Spring Ministries, which went through several phases of relocation due to challenges, moving across various locations including schools, rented spaces, and private residences. Despite these difficulties, he remained steadfast in his calling.

On January 3, 2015, he connected with his spiritual father, Senior Prophet Bernard Opoku Nsiah, who later ordained him as an Apostle of Jesus Christ on August 2, 2016. Through divine direction, he received the mandate that led to the establishment of Destiny Embassy. The ministry was officially registered on November 8, 2017, and inaugurated on December 10, 2017.

The journey was not without challenges, as the ministry lost many members due to the lack of a permanent place of worship. However, by God’s grace, on December 22, 2019, Destiny Embassy moved into its own permanent location at Ablekuman New Town, off Joma Roman Road, a significant milestone in the ministry’s history, even as development continues.

Today, Apostle Charles Okho-Atta Appiah continues to lead Destiny Embassy with a strong passion for soul-winning, revival, and raising kingdom-minded believers, fulfilling the divine mandate placed upon his life.
